Orientalistic Goings-On.

January 2011.
Typically these drawings started as black ink line (in this portfolio, dip-pen) images on paper (in my journal #51). They were carried out in my studio - a hovel somewhere in Farnborough, Hampshire UK - sometime in the early part of this year.

The images, as usual indicate a disturbed mind, one for which there is little hope.

I am increasingly worried about the 'integrity' of the digital aspect of the production. Is it merely 'colouring in' or 'coloring in' (as Regan was purported to 'color-in his memoirs)? The removal of the physical act / craft of painting from the process might just reduce the probity of the work. Yes, worrying !?

Drawing itself is very demanding and I need much rest and malt whiskey to recuperate.

As usual all images are for sale or, for the pitifully penniless, free. High resolution images at 300dpi will produce a fine print of 432cm (h) x 270cm (w).

Contact me. Few do. I wonder if anyone ever reads this crap ?
