Orientalistic Goings-On.

January 2011.

I aim to produce and finish one drawing and print per day for the year 2011.

At present I am about ten drawings behind but if I am able to concentrate and focus I think that this can be achieved,

Desperation creeps in when I try to maintain some obvious political connection with each work. It is very easy to reduce everything to some alienated and abstracted surrealist composition.

This is not such a problem in that it is not difficult to connect the politics of alienation with surrealist content. Surrealism and anarchism have a long history of relation. So, in my own mind, I can get away with such a reduction. The more eccentric the composition (within my own frame of reference / style / etc) the more authentic the political statement, albeit alienated.

As I have long since said, the images here, probably indicate a disturbed mind, one for which there is little hope. My comments too.

Contact me. Few do. I continue to wonder if anyone ever reads this crap ?
